I tried wiping off my hard drive and re-installing Windows (I have Vista) by running the original CD, but I get an error each time. When I came back it displayed a long list with each line stating that a segment appeared unreadable. I started the repair and left it like that for a couple of hours. Once again, it wouldn't boot, this time suggesting that I ran the repair. Press the Windows Logo key + R to open a Run dialog.

Since I hadn't finished my chat session yet, I pressed cancel. Then a message appeared warning me that a flash plug-in crashed and whether I would like to stop it. I was chatting with a Skype support person when my computer suddenly froze.
